Saying good-bye to good friends

Megan and Luke had a Nerts party and I was invited!! This is a very big deal because Megan has told me for years that I'm not invited because I'm too CRAZY when I play games (she's worried my intensity will wreck the harmonious vibe of game night)

Temple date with the Woodruff's

My mom took us shopping in Calgary...14 hours later and Jade was still smiling

Jade even had a little TV in her stroller. Thank you mom for a great trip (not to mention some great purchases)!!

Women's Trip

Megan and I started our 'Women's Trip' at the gym this year. I've gone faithfully to the gym for 9 years now...but what do I have to show for myself? Sadly, not much. You see, Megan and I can't work out TOO hard...we still need to engage in conversation while doing cardio :)

Our hotel in Calgary

Megan and I with our hundreds of pictures...trying to get photo albums organized (I was 2 1/2 years behind)

Mmm...white chocolate raspberry ice cream from the Marble Slab!

We had SOOO much fun this year. It was our fourth annual trip...and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. We shopped, shopped, ate, ate, slept in, talked and shopped. Can't wait till Women's Trip 2009

Triathloon Success!

This is us getting pumped up for the 'Triathloon.' Erin swam 500 metres, Devin biked 20 K and Ken ran 5 k. If you're wondering why it is called a "Triathloon"...I think it is because there are loons on the lake and therefore "Triathloon" is more appropriate than "Triathlon"

This is the start of the Triathloon. Please notice Julie Vaz doing a belly flop.

What a success! I heard there were over 60 participants!

Can I just say that Julie is amazing? She swam 500 metres, ran 5 K, and then came back to nurse her 6 week old baby. Unreal!! I was still trying to walk at 6 weeks postpartum

This is our team: Ken, Devin, Erin, Caden and Liam Wallace. We won second.

Paintball Pros!

Great Ideas

We all came up with the ingenious idea to go huckleberry picking. Truthfully, it was a lot of fun and the berries were "...mmmm good!"

Ultimately Jade and I ate more berries than we ever put in our bucket...but they still let us have some of the huckleberry pancakes and pie.

Proud daddy Geoff and his little boy Bentley

Funny story. I decided to put Jade in the bathtub so that I could straighten my hair before church. Before I knew it, Layla had whipped off her clothes and jumped into the bath with jade!! As you can see, Jade thought it was pretty darn funny!

Looks like my hair didn't turn out too bad :) This is proud Auntie Erin with sweet Bentley

It's Great to be a Wallace!

The official Wallace Clan

We love the Vaz's/Wallace-Wannabe's

Auntie Erin and Ally making bows. I'm pretty sure the lake just wouldn't be the lake without a sweet crafting session with my Ally

Jade and Dad jammin' at the lake

This is an action shot of all of us dancing to "Bleeding Love"....the only person missing in this picture is my sister Amy :)

Jade loves the water--sometimes I wonder if she's part dolphin (but I know that is definitely not the case). This is a sweet pic of us on the Manta Ray

Summer Fun at the Lake

Jade loves her strawberries!

7 Years and Still Counting

Ok, so some people may wonder why I love the Coaldale Pool so much. I have one five letter word for you...MEGAN

Megan despises cleaning the bird poop off the pool deck. I, on the other hand, don't mind doing it at all.

Megan working hard in the morning

Overall, it was a great summer at the pool. I only had a few shifts, but I loved every single one of them.

Next summer we're hoping to have a "10 Year Reunion" for Megan. When we started talking about a reunion I was so darn excited...only to have Megan laugh at me and tell me that it was a ridiculous idea. We'll see. I'll have only worked at the Coaldale Pool for eight years, which some people may still think is pathetic. I seriously can't believe Megan will have worked at the pool for 10 years!Talk about job dedication :)
