Happy 1st Birthday Zendyn!

This is Zendyn, the birthday boy! Isn't he handsome?

Arynne and I got together to make him a marshmallow fondant cake. It was SO much fun! Arynne, as always, was super prepared...so the cake was done in no time!

We also decorated delicious chocolate peanut butter cupcakes (I think the first batch was eaten, so Arynne had to make more just before the party).

Thanks for inviting us Tran family!! We love you!

Ladies Lunch

My mom and I got to sneak away for an "adult lunch" at my favorite restaurant. We had lettuce wraps, calamari and a delicious spinach salad...yum! It was nice to chat about life and enjoy each other's company. Thanks mom! Love you!

Field trip to the Greenhouse :)

Sweet Ruby

Isn't she adorable? Jade and Zoe got to meet their newest cousin...Ruby Wallace! We LOVE her so much! She is petite and perfect.

We even got to be a part of Ruby's first swim!! She LOVED the water!

Next Stop...Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Mark's House!!

We also had TONS of fun at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Mark's house. We enjoyed great chats, delicious food and lots of pool time!!

As always, it was a great day at Grandma Kathy's and Grandpa Mark's.

Welcome Home!!

On July 23rd, 2010 we fly back to Canada! We spent our first weekend home at Grandpa Garth and Grandma Pam's house. It was great to catch up, eat good food and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Supper at Auntie Anita's and Uncle Bryan's.

Zoe enjoying rice cereal :)

We ended our weekend off with a little Tran love. Jade had lots of fun making bubbles with Auntie Arynne and Kigan. It was SO wonderful to see everyone again! Home Sweet Home :)

Another Great Day at the Zoo

We love the Detroit Zoo!

This was the first time we've ever been close to the giraffes (Jade was afraid to feed them, but it was fun to see them so close).

The Girls

Zoe was a little unsure of the snakes.

Bug Bite

Jade got a bug bite on her eyelid while we were camping...and her eye was completely swollen!! Nothing high steroid/antibiotic drops couldn't fix!

Hill Cumorah

The Hill Cumorah Pageant: America's Witness for Christ
The pageant told the history of the people in the Book of Mormon.

Zoe and Jade were VERY well behaved during the pageant :)

A view from the top of Hill Cumorah (notice all the rows of chairs below). There were approximately 9000 people in the audience!

Hill Cumorah was where Joseph Smith retrieved the buried gold plates (which were later translated into the Book of Mormon).

The Sacred Grove

Where Joseph Smith saw the angel Moroni.

It was a great experience to visit the Sacred Grove. Just as the sign read as we entered the grove, I know “God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith in this grove.”

Our Campsite

The weather was SO hot in Palmyra (poor Zoe was always hot and sweaty).

So we spent a lot of time in the pool :)

Our crew: Devin, Erin, Mike, Kaylee, Bret and Jan (not to mention Jade, Zoe, Tait and Bella).
