So this picture represents a priceless moment. Please note the large piece of white gum in Jade's hair. Also, take note of the "busted" look on Layla's face. I guess the greatest irony is that I gave Layla that piece of gum...only to cut it out of my daughter's hair a few minutes later.

We decided to take a 5 day road trip. Four adults, three kids, no problems. This was one of the best vacations I've ever had. We laughed, played, ate, shopped and toured. Thank you Vaz's for coming out to visit us. WE MISS YOU!!

The first night was "Devin and Erin's Date Night." The Vaz's, being the brave souls they are, took the three kids out on the town. Meanwhile, Devin and I enjoyed a relaxing Thai dinner followed by the broadway show "Wicked."

"Wicked" was at the Ford Theatre in the "Theatre District" of Chicago. Of my goodness, the theatre was amazing and the musical was even better. 

We introduced the Vaz's to the ghetto. Don't worry, we don't live here :)

Surprise!! The Vaz's flew in to visit us for 8 days!

Jade devoured an entire waffle one Sunday morning at the Low's. We LOVE when they make waffles

We went to the Oakland University gym to watch the Pistons practice. It was pretty cool. I kept asking where "Wallace" was...and finally some dad told me he wasn't on the team anywmore. Awesome.

This is the tree where we have our picnics. We usually eat for a bit, then we read books or scriptures.  Sometimes the ducks come up close to us...Jade loves it.
