Proud Parents after Jade's Blessing

The Wallace Gang came for Jade's blessing....or was it for the corn and smokies afterward???

Tryin' to "Beat the Heat"

We tried to beat the heat....

.....but the heat beat us!!!!

These are Erin's "garden" pictures---you can see the fence that Devin built in the background.

This year Erin planted cherry tomatoes, strawberries, a red pepper plant and a blue pepper plant. The blue pepper plant is the coolest.

Jade's trying different fingers for nose picking. She finds the ring finger the most effective.

Jade's First Two Weeks

Life's Hard

Daddy Daughter Time

Devin's hand is bigger than Jade's head!

Grandma stopped in for a visit on Jade's first Sunday

When Jade was born Devin gave me a copper coin pearl and tiger quartz necklace (I'm wearing it). I absolutely love it!!

Always a party

It was great to have everyone come and meet Jade- thanks guys! Oh that key-lime pie was good too.

Trish was an absolute life saver! She worked Monday night and stopped in during the perfect times. I remember once that night I was changing Jade's diaper and was having a horrible time (it's one thing to change a diaper but doing it sleep deprived in the middle of night with a delicate newborn adds an element of awkwardness) Trish came in and in no time flat, Jades was clean, calm and collected together in a tight burrito wrap. Thanks again Trish.

Welcome baby Jade

Erin's water broke at 2:30 in the afternoon on Sunday and we left for the hospital shortly after. Our bags were packed and when we arrived at the hospital they said, "looks like you're checking in for good"- it turned out we were.

This picture was shot only moments after Jade arrived. Labor and delivery went well. Seeing Erin in that position reminded me of Rambo when he was stitching up his own wounds and the same thought went through my mind, "Man I couldn't do that!"

"We are family!" Hey that reminds me of a song.
